Stand with Kids is a non-profit educational organization helping to support children's educations and provide more opportunities
Our Mission
Stand with Kids (SWK) aims to ensure that children living in poverty are able to live a childhood full of good experiences and memories. We supply children and teens with toys, books, cards, care packages, and educational materials. Our primary goal is to enrich the lives of children that are spending extended periods of time at shelters and provide them with opportunities to grow and develop.

Indra Ranjan is the Founder of Stand with Kids (SWK). She is 16 years old and a junior high schooler in Fairfax, Virginia. In addition to her work in helping children who don’t have access to many opportunities and materials in low-income areas, she also enjoys traveling, cooking, and playing the drums. Indra hopes she can inspire young students across the globe to join her and work towards eliminating child poverty and enriching underprivileged kids’ lives

Hey I’m Carissa and I’m a student at Woodson high school! For many years I’ve taken part in various activities such as running an international advocacy club, Girl Scouts, Soccer, and working at a summer camp for preschoolers. I believe that each of these opportunities were very big contributors to helping me discover who I am as a person. While working with various children in summer camps/within the Girl Scout Community, I have seen that there are many children around the world who truly benefit from the opportunities that these activities provide. I want to help other children who may lack these opportunities to experience something similar so that they too can grow into who they’re meant to be and to help them accomplish incredible things in their lives.

Hi my name is Chinguun! I joined this nonprofit because I noticed the prevalent issue of homelessness in every place I have traveled to. In life, we all strive to make the most of our opportunities, but some people face unfortunate circumstances such as poverty that prevent them from enjoying life. I want to help SWK to make a difference in the lives of children in poverty, aiming to prevent them from enduring the hardships that lead to homelessness.

Hey I’m Annanya and I go to Chantilly HS! I have experience in tutoring kids in different languages, teaching karate and I am apart of Scio and DECA. I joined this nonprofit because I’ve always had an interest in helping children. I believe through social media we can help make a change and raise awareness.
I’m Elizabeth, and I go to TJHSST. I joined this nonprofit because I’ve always been interested in helping the community. More specifically, I want to give underprivileged children opportunities for growth. I’ve tutored children in STEM subjects over the summer, and currently I give young girls at Weyanoke Elementary School opportunities to do STEM activities.

Hello, I'm Alex Lee and I am a student at TJHSST. Over the past few years, I've been involved in several volunteer based organizations and I want to extend that path with Stand With Kids. The harsh realization that there are millions of kids in the world that are limited to what they can achieve because they lack opportunity drives me to do what I can to maximize the potentials of these children. I have years of experience in volunteer and leadership and I plan to use that to provide to those who need it.
Joshua Lee
Hey I’m Joshua and I go to Oakton High School! I have experience in running a research club at my school, being president of a non-profit organization, and I am apart of both debate and the governing branch of the orchestra program at Oakton. I joined this non-profit to serve our local community in any way possible and to give hope and stability to the people who need it most. I believe through fundraising and the acceptance of donations that anything out of our pockets can help at least one person out there and can inspire other young students out there to be more charitable in their separate communities as well.
